Huddersfield owner Nagle backs boss Moore

When asked if he had considered firing him, Nagle told BBC Radio Leeds, “It is not even a consideration.” I have faith in Darren. You’re witnessing the start of something fantastic, in my opinion.

“Darren has done everything that we have asked of him.”

“We’re uncomfortably comfortable,” Nagle added. I’m not thrilled with our current position in the table; we want to move up, but the reality is that we want to support Darren because he’s our guy.

“I think if you read social media, many of those fans aren’t happy, but I think there’s a larger group who are more patient.”

“Overall, people might not be happy because of where we are, I’m not happy, but you can’t expect someone to come in and make wholesale changes in 11 games.”

With 19 points from their first 18 games, Huddersfield sit 21st in the Championship, six points clear of the bottom three.

However, they have only scored 17 league goals so far this season, which is tied for third-lowest in the league.

The American investor, who finalised his ownership of the Terriers in the summer, said the team may be lacking in attacking quality.

“We want to play an attacking style of football.” Do we have the necessary players? “That’s something the entire management team needs to figure out,” he explained.

“I think successful teams around the world play that brand, and I like that; it’s exciting for the fans as well.”

“We have the January window coming up and we’ll be looking at what opportunities we can find there to fortify the team to be successful.”
