Huddersfield Town secure two early January signings.

Midfielder Alex Matos has arrived at the John Smith’s Stadium on loan from Chelsea and the Terriers recruited Bojan Radulovic from HJK Helsinki. Both were thrown in at the deep ends on their Huddersfield debuts, making appearances in the 5-0 defeat to Manchester City in the FA Cup.

Huddersfield are living dangerously in the Championship, therefore it is difficult to argue that additions are not required. It remains to be seen whether there will be further arrivals at the club, but here are the Sports Daily favourites to join the Terriers.

Josh Onomah – 5/2

The midfield player assisted Fulham in their 2022 Premier League promotion, earning him a Championship title. However, since leaving Preston North End last year, his career has stagnated and he is now a free agent.

Harris-Jonson Clarke – 4/1

The forward has been strongly linked to Charlton Athletic, but it looks that his future lies elsewhere than Peterborough United.

Alex Smithies – 5/1

Smithies is a seasoned Championship custodian who began his playing career with the Terriers, so he is familiar with the team. Before joining Queens Park Rangers in 2015, he appeared in more than 250 games for Huddersfield. Leicester City, the reigning champions, are now represented by him.

Moore Kieffer – 6/1

Many teams have been mentioned as being interested in signing Moore, and he has been the focus of intense transfer rumours. This season, the commanding forward has made seven Premier League appearances.

13/2 Marc Albrighton

Although the adaptable Albrighton used to be a vital member of Leicester City, his influence has diminished recently.

Matt Ritchie (15/2).

Ritchie, another versatile player, has been a devoted member of Newcastle United’s squad since 2016.

8/1 Matty Longstaff

Since being let go by his boyhood club, Newcastle, the 23-year-old has been without a job. Having played on loan at Mansfield Town and Colchester United, the former England under-20 captain has EFL experience.

Herbie Kane (10/1)

Kane, one of Barnsley’s standout players of the year, has started every league match at Oakwell that he has been available for.
