Ben Reynolds set to debut, Tiaki Chan latest, loan watch

A look at some things that have happened at Hull FC this week

Ben Reynolds set to debut

Hull FC are expecting to have Ben Reynolds fit and available for Friday’s clash at Castleford Tigers. Hull Live has been told that the half-back, who has signed on loan for the rest of the season, has progressed well from a wrist injury that kept him out against London Broncos, with the 30-year-old likely to play a part in the West Yorkshire clash.

The club are also expecting Tiaki Chan to be available against Castleford. The 23-year-old arrived on an initial two-week loan, but it is understood that the two clubs will now review the situation on a week-to-week basis.

Loan watch

On Sunday afternoon, four Hull FC players who were on loan played in the Championship, and both Bradford Bulls and York Knights were victorious. Earlier this month, the Black and Whites announced the loan move for Jayden Okunbor, and Liam Tindall followed suit. Tindall began on the wing and Okunbor at center for the Bulls, who defeated the Sheffield Eagles 28–10. Both players started on the right edge. In the first half, the latter found the try line and scored by catching a chip kick. Additionally, he was given the official Man of the Match award by the club, which will give the foreign player much-needed confidence.

Reserves hammer London

The reserves of Hull FC defeated the London Broncos 54-0 on Saturday, and it was well worth the price. Logan Moy was a standout for Francis Cummins’ team, who scored ten tries to win. A few more standout players included Harvey Barron on the flank, Will Gardiner in the middle of the field alongside Jack Ashworth, who returned from injury, and Denive Balmforth, who scored two goals himself.

It was a collective effort all around. That may seem cliche, but it was a really visually appealing performance that featured excellent rugby league play and a tremendous defensive will to keep London out. Hull now sits second in the reserves table after their fourth victory in six games this season.
