Former Hull City player signs deal at Hull FC

Hull FC’s rebuild for 2025 is well underway, with the club announcing a number of incoming signings and contract extensions in recent weeks. FC are derperate for an improved 2025 season, having suffered a torrid 2024 Super League season so far.

FC have already announced several major signings for 2025, with John Asiata, Jordan Abdull and Jed Cartwright set to join the club for next season, alongside new head coach, John Cartwright. Treigh Stewart had also been announced for next season, however, the club pulled the deal following an allegation of domestic violence against the player.

Director of Rugby, Richie Myler, has also been busy with the club’s retention plans in recent weeks. The club announced a new contract for Logan Moy last month, and Davy Litten signed a new deal on Monday this week.

Now, another member of the club’s talented crop of young players had committed his future to the club.

The club released a statement confirming that young winger, Lewis Martin, had signed a two-year contract extension with the club. The statement read: “Hull FC are pleased to confirm that young winger Lewis Martin has signed a two-year contract extension with the club.

According to the agreement, the 19-year-old will stay at MKM Stadium through at least the conclusion of the 2026 Betfred Super League season.

Martin said in the club release, expressing his happiness with his new contract to remain with the Black and Whites.For many years to come, he wants to be an important member of the club’s young talent group. He declared:

I’m buzzing to commit my future to my hometown club for another two years.

“I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunities I’ve been given since making my debit last year, and I’m determined to keep improving and doing my part for this team.

“It’s a really exciting period to be a young player at this club. With the likes of Logan (Moy) and Davy (Litten) also committing their future here, we’ve got a core of local lads with their best years ahead of them who are going to keep improving and developing over the next few years.

Speaking in the club statement, Martin expressed his delight at his new deal to stay with the Black and Whites.He hopes to be a key part of a group of young talent at the club for years to come. He said:
