Hull KR transfer target sent off for ‘violent conduct’ in Championship clash

Hull KR transfer target Eribe Doro had an afternoon to forget after he was sent off at the weekend. Doro was in action for Bradford Bulls at the weekend, playing in the Championship against Barrow Raiders.

But he was shown his marching orders midway through the Bulls’ 36-24 victory, which saw them strengthen their grip on a play-off spot. After the game, Bulls head coach Eamon O’Carroll admitted he was uncertain what had resulted in the 23-year-old’s dismissal, though media reports have claimed the red card was for violent conduct. after Doro was involved in a tackle.

Earlier this year, the Bulls boss described Doro as the best player in the Championship, with his performances catching the eye of Hull KR coach Willie Peters.

Hull Live disclosed that Doro had become a target for the Robins in terms of recruitment, and Peters continued to show his respect for the player.

“I can tell you I’ve had my eye on him and I’ve watched him play,” Peters replied. “I like what I see, but once more, given where things are at, I can give you more in a few weeks. However, a few years ago, while I was in Australia, I took a look at Eribe. He’s a talented player, and I’ve followed him in the Championship.”After making four appearances for Warrington Wolves, Doro rose up the ranks to play for the Bulls, Halifax Panthers, and Widnes Vikings.
