Willie Peters believes Hull KR’s new signing is Super League ready after Rovers confirmed the signing of prop Eribe Doro. As first revealed by Hull Live, the Bradford Bulls forward has joined the Robins, with the club confirming he has signed a two-year contract with the club.
The 23-year-old comes after an impressive stint at the Bulls, having also spent time with Halifax Panthers and Widnes Vikings since leaving Warrington Wolves. Bradford coach Eamonn O’Carroll recently described him as the ‘best player in the Championship’, with Doro gaining a reputation for having the best carry in the second tier.
He becomes the club’s third confirmed signing for 2025, following ea-HaJared Waerrgreaves and Tom Davies in signing for Rovers next year. While he doesn’t boast the same pedigree as the other two, he has made just four top-flight appearances during his career, Peters is confident he has what it takes to make an impact in Super League.
“We’re pleased Eribe is joining the club in 2025,” Peters said. “Eribe has worked hard to get the opportunity to return to Super League by being one of the standout front rowers in the Championship competition.
“The progression Eribe has made during his time in the Championship will stand him in good stead for taking the next step in his journey. Eribe is ready to test himself as a Super League front rower.
“Eribe will add real value to us with his aggressive running style and strong defence. We are looking to help develop Eribe’s game further in 2025 and beyond.”
Doro said, “I’m excited to join the club,” and stated that she will be staying with Bradford for the rest of the season. I leaped at the chance to join and be a part of Hull KR’s current huge initiatives because they are doing some amazing things.
“Willie (Peters) and I had a few chats, and he thrilled me about the possibility of raising my game at Hull KR. When I was at Warrington, I got to experience a little bit of Super League, which was something I really appreciated. I play rugby because I want to challenge and push myself to play at the top levels.”Being in the Championship has greatly improved my game and helped me develop as a person.”
