Inter Miami have reportedly made a formal offer to sign River Plate midfielder….
Tata Martino is eager to complement Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, thus the Herons are searching for a creative talisman to combine with Sergio Busquets in the midfield.
And it seems that Palavecino, a 27-year-old Argentine who has been a fixture for River Plate since signing from Deportivo Cali in 2021, is the result of Inter Miami’s hunt in South America.
Sport claims that the MLS team has formally offered to sign Palavecino, and the South American powerhouses have not yet replied to Inter Miami’s request.
According to the source, Inter Miami is in negotiations with Palavecino in hopes of finding the “magical” spark that has been lacking from their midfield in recent years.
While there’s no doubting that the Argentine may be a good addition, Inter Miami’s move for Palavecino is undoubtedly an interesting one, with central defence perhaps a more pressing concern.
Palavecino demonstrated his ability to easily adjust to the Major League Soccer (MLS) this season with his 37 appearances across all competitions for River Plate in the previous season.
Additionally, since Inter Miami and River Plate are already in negotiations, it might only be a few days until the 27-year-old is revealed as the new Heron.
Regarding what Palavecino can offer Inter Miami, the midfielder will give Martino’s team a creative presence and give Busquets a teammate who can finally push forward and benefit from his soccer acumen.
