Town Dismiss 400 Staff Tickets..

Town have dismissed claims that 20 per cent of its allocation for Saturday’s East Anglian derby at Norwich City was reserved for players and staff.

Following the game, in which the Blues were defeated 1-0, comments on the TWTD Forum and social media have implied that 400 of the 2,022 seats in the Jarrold Stand were reserved and would not be part of the normal sales procedure for staff members, their families, and friends.

The Blues unveiled a new Super Blues membership package in the summer that costs £39.99. During the season, supporters may accrue points by going to away games to increase their point total. Fans are moved higher on the priority list and have a better chance of obtaining tickets for games with lower distributions, like Saturday’s, the more points they have accrued.

Town disputes the assertion that players and staff received 20% of the seats, saying that a “limited allocation”—roughly half of the reported amount—was reserved as is customary for an away game.

A club representative expressed the club’s disappointment with the response. Even so, they continued, “We will continue to review our processes in all areas of the club and make improvements where necessary, even though we won’t get every decision right.”
