Coach Jerome Tang of Kansas State announced a bad news

Coach Jerome Tang of Kansas State announced on Monday that forward Nae’Qwan Tomlin had been suspended indefinitely after his arrest over the weekend.

According to the Riley County Police Department arrest report, Tomlin was taken into custody early on Sunday morning for “disorderly conduct; brawling or fighting” at Tubby’s Sports Bar. He was later released on a $750 bond.

“I have indefinitely suspended Nae’Qwan Tomlin for not living up to the expectations we require of our players,” Tang stated in a statement. “Although he is not with the team, he is still part of our family, and we will do what [we] can to support him as he moves through this process.

Tomlin, a 6-foot-10 forward from New York, averaged 10.4 points and 5.9 rebounds in 36 games while starting for Kansas State in the previous campaign. With double-digit scoring in each of the four NCAA tournament games with averages of 12.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks, he was a major contributor to the Wildcats’ march to the Elite Eight.

On November 6 in Las Vegas, Kansas State takes on USC to kick off the season, but the Wildcats also have an exhibition game against Emporia State on Wednesday.

Without Tomlin, expect Tang to rely more heavily on Creighton transfer Arthur Kaluma. He could also go smaller and use Samford transfer Ques Glover in a three-guard lineup.
