Elderly man dies after a two-car crash early this morning near Alveston – second accident near Loxley

An elderly man has died after a two-car crash early this morning near Alveston.

The collision happened at about 6am on the B4086 Wellesborne Road just to the east of Alveston.

Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and The Air Ambulance Service Critical Care Car were sent to the scene.

According to a representative for the West Midlands Ambulance Service, “ambulance crews found one car that had suffered very significant damage on arrival.” People in the community were giving the motorist minimal life support.Sadly, the man could not be saved, and emergency personnel assumed control and began administering advanced clinical care. He was pronounced dead at the site.

“The other car’s driver was unharmed.”
