A police officer from Warwickshire has been charged with a series of child sex offences. PC Paul Hanson, a response officer based at Bedworth Police Station has been charged with 11 offences, 10 of which are said to have involved a teenage girl aged 15 or under.
The 32-year-old has been charged with three rape offences involving a girl aged 13 to 15 and seven counts of sexual activity with a girl aged 13 to 15. He also has a single charge of sexual assault.
According to a representative for Warwickshire Police, the alleged acts occurred before he became a police officer. And they targeted four victims.”
PC Hanson has been suspended from his position until the outcome of the case. He is scheduled to appear in Coventry Magistrates Court on Wednesday, February 14.
