Kent Woman killed in M25 crash where car was being chased by Kent Police

A young woman who tragically died in a motorcycle crash on the M25 has been named locally as Andrina Everett. The fatal collision happened at Junction 30 in Thurrock at the Mardyke Junction on Thursday (August 1).

Emergency services attended the incident at around 11.40pm. Despite efforts from police officers and paramedics, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two men, aged 18 and from Essex, have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. and remain in custody. The car was involved in a car pursuit involving officers from Kent Police prior to the collision.

The victim has been named locally as a popular member of local biking groups. A GoFundme page has been set up, raising more than £5,000 to fund her funeral.

‘She was taken too soon’

The page was set up by her fiance William Critchell who said: “Our beautiful girl was taken too soon at 19 years old and we are all devastated by her loss. She was the most loving person to all her family and friends and would do anything she could to put a smile on their faces.

“Being so young, Andrina hadn’t planned for her passing, and her family are unprepared to manage the financial and emotional fallout from her death. This page has been set up by her fiancé with the help of her closest friends and family to support Andrina’s family to raise funds for funeral costs and to give her the best send-off possible.”

Following a mandatory referral by Kent Police to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC), the IOPC is investigating the circumstances surrounding the police pursuit. An IOPC spokesperson said: “We are independently investigating the circumstances surrounding a serious collision on the M25, near the Dartford Tunnel, involving a Range Rover and a motorbike last night. We have established that the driver of the Range Rover was being pursued by Kent Police officers when the collision occurred at approximately 11.40pm.

“The motorcyclist sadly died at the scene. We were notified by Kent Police shortly after the collision and sent investigators to the scene and to the police post-incident procedures to begin gathering evidence.”
