A busy road has been shut after a crash this morning (August 17). The A227 Wrotham Road in Meopham is closed in both directions outside the Texaco garage.
The collision has happened between Newlands Lane and Whitepost Lane. Kent Police has confirmed a car crashed into an electricity pole, triggering the road closure.
Crews from UK Power Networks and Kent Police officers were called to the scene near Culverstone Green in the early hours of this morning. It is not yet known when the road closure will be lifted and the extent of any injuries is also not known.
