Major Kent road closure after ghastly collision as victims struggle for life

There are several cars involved in a collision, and emergency services are on the scene. Delays of several hours are anticipated.

There is currently a traffic jam on the M20 near Maidstone between Junctions 6 for Sandling and 7 for Detling.

Following the collision, a woman was taken to the hospital with what were thought to be minor injuries.

There is a diversion in place and the road is still closed.

Reports of the three-car collision came in just after nine in the morning, prompting the dispatch of two fire engines to the scene. Just after 10.30 am, they let out.

“People are being asked to avoid the area and to please find an alternative route due to the heavy amount of traffic,” a fire service spokesman stated.

Just after 1pm, according to National Highways, the incident should be resolved.

There could be delays of up to forty minutes, drivers are advised.
