Police and rescue team attends scene and arrest made after man stabbed to death in Kent

A suspect in a violent assault in a town centre has been charged with attempted murder.

On Sunday, just before three in the morning, police were called to a disturbance at a house in Fairmeadow, Maidstone.

A man was taken to the hospital after being stabbed while officers and South East Coast Ambulance Service responded to the scene.

He is still there, his condition stable but serious.

An ongoing investigation has resulted in the arrest of three persons.

Following that, Fairmeadow resident Haidon Tomlin, 18, was accused of attempting murder and placed under remand to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court today (Tuesday).

A 20-year-old woman was released with no further action, and a 37-year-old man who was also arrested was freed on bail pending additional investigation.
