Two brutalized and struggling for life in hospital after attack in Kent

Reports of a racially violent assault that left two men hospitalised prompted police to be called.

In relation to the Wednesday night attack that happened around 9:25 p.m. in Canterbury near Westgate Gardens, a man and an adolescent have been taken into custody.

Social media witnesses claimed to have overheard two men being called racial epithets.

After that, the conversation “turned physical,” and the victims were assaulted.

It is not believed that their wounds pose a threat to their lives.

A 46-year-old man was taken into custody on charges of assault and making menacing remarks.

A 17-year-old was also taken into custody by police on charges of assault on an emergency worker and racially aggravated assault.

Both have been placed on bail while more research is done.
