The Killie Trust is pleased to announce that members have overwhelmingly supported our initiative to assist Kilmarnock Football Club in their planned transition to a new grass pitch for the 2026–2027 season.
Following a vote, members were asked to consider designating an initial commitment of £50,000 from the Killie Trust and donors to our Killie Futures Fund fundraising effort. There were two abstentions, 19 no votes, and 501 yes votes in the end.
With the Trust now in a position to support the club’s goals by providing the initial funding at the start of the campaign, Kilmarnock Football Club will eventually create and publicise its own planning and fundraising efforts.
The club board’s Trust director, Martin Boyle, praised the members’ backing for the suggested investment.
“It has been such a popular proposal at so many of our events that we wanted to give Trust members and contributors that opportunity to express their early support for this upcoming initiative,” he said. With this approval, we can now engage closely with the club on the following steps, knowing that the Trust is completely supporting them.
We appreciate everyone who took the time to vote and express their opinions. It’s wonderful to know that we can support the club when they present their plans, and this is without a doubt one of the most well-liked suggestions we’ve ever presented to our membership.
The Trust will now collaborate closely with the club to find further methods to increase our contribution, and we will provide members with an updated proposal when the time is right.
