Fully focused’ at Rugby Park and eyeing up success*

The 26-year-old has been playing well this season, and manager Derek McInnes acknowledged that he might get attention in the summer.
Danny Armstrong declares he’s having the best time of his life at Kilmarnock and that he has no plans to play elsewhere the following season.

Due to a run of excellent performances this season, the 26-year-old has garnered high praise, and his manager Derek McInnes has acknowledged that it might be difficult to hold onto the former Raith Rovers player past the summer.

Armstrong, for his part, is entirely committed to supporting the Rugby Park team’s quest for European football, and he believes they have what it takes to win the Scottish Cup as well.

In Killie’s 2-0 victory over Cove Rangers over the weekend, he scored the team’s second goal off the bench. This set up an exciting quarterfinal away matchup with Aberdeen.

“People can talk about me and other clubs if they want to, but it’s not coming from me,” he stated.

Although I don’t really talk about it with the manager, I hope the gaffer is as happy as I am to be here.

“I’m content and totally focused on Kilmarnock. Throughout my career, working at Killie has been my favourite part.

“It’s a much better feeling to be fighting at the top of the table instead of at the bottom, and it’s been a different kind of season,” he continued.

“I want to take this club to new heights in the standings and take it as far as we can in the Scottish Cup.” This is an amazing club with a great team and a tonne of nice people.

“Everyone will be happy if we can all give it our all. We’re having a great run, but we must maintain it.

Killie, who have only suffered one loss in their previous twelve games, will be visiting Celtic Park on Saturday. During that time, they have successfully advanced into the Scottish Cup’s last eight.

Armstrong adds that he doesn’t see any obstacle preventing them from winning the coveted trophy for the first time since 1997, saying, “Last season we were 90 minutes away.”

“But because we have a stronger team and squad than last year, we’ll enter the quarterfinal with more confidence. Once we return to Hampden, we’ll give ourselves every chance to succeed. We aim to maintain our fourth-place position in the league.
