Station Gamers, which is part of the Kilmarnock Station Railway Heritage Trust, has organised a stock clearance sale after struggling financially.
A non-profit Kilmarnock business is closing because of challenging financial conditions and operational demands.
Ayrshire-based mental health services and therapy are offered by Station Gamers, an initiative of Kilmarnock Station Railway Heritage Trust (KSRHT), which is housed at the town’s train station.
Six months after shoplifters broke in, the shop suffered a terrible blow.
All proceeds from sales will be used to cover the cost of repurposing the space to offer more mental health care.
“As some of you may or may not be aware, the Station Gamers shop is fully funded by the KSRHT,” a staff member wrote on Facebook. The employees work under the charity’s auspices, promoting the Trust and its social prescribing service while being an integral part of the larger organisation.
“Our devoted patrons have over the years enabled the trust to provide free therapy to members of the community who were unable to pay for the service themselves.
Regretfully, it is no longer financially feasible to continue trading via Station Gamers as a result of challenging financial times and operational demands.
“We all wish to thank you very much for your support as a part of the gaming and wider community.”

Station Gamers set up a massive sale, charging the trade price for everything in the store. Scale models, Warhammer, board games, paints, and accessories are among the things offered for sale.
An employee continued, saying: “The Station Gamers crew has been searching for a different location, and we are guaranteed at least one room for our use, so Kilmarnock can continue to have a reasonably priced gaming club in our community.
It’s a transition and we’ll support each other through these changes.”
