A 34-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with an assault on John Finnie Street in Kilmarnock.
The incident happened around 6am on Friday, June 14
A 33-year-old man was taken to Crosshouse Hospital for treatment following the incident.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal and the 34-year-old is expected to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court at a later date.
The Police are pleading for eye witnesses or people with useful information that can help them in carrying out
investigation before detailing the general public about the whole thing that transpired and proffer precautionary measures to be adhered to going forward.
