Celtic porching Kilmarnock for fresh talent’

Celtic should keep an eye on Kilmarnock’s star player, David Watson. Derek McInnes’ introduction of the Scotland U19 to the main team has resulted in impressive results.

Under McInnes, the 18-year-old has established himself as a major player in the Rugby Park midfield, appearing in 26 games and scored three goals while also assisting twice. It is worth mentioning Watson’s stunning goal at Pittodrie.

The central midfielder, who can also play forward, has been trained by McInnes, whom Brendan Rodgers trusts to educate and develop young players. Similar to Ryan Christie, Celtic might jump in and make a contract to take Watson on loan back to Killie; but, the club must consider the player.

McInnes’ club is fourth, and Watson’s intensity and digging in the midfield have contributed significantly. Watson has a promising future in the game despite his early age.

Lennon Miller of Motherwell has previously been mentioned as a potential Celtic acquisition in the future, given his amazing rise to prominence in Scottish football. The Motherwell talent was a standout at Fir Park before suffering an injury at the age of 17.

It must be at the forefront of Celtic’s business plan to scout, scope, and recruit the best young players in Scotland, then develop and integrate them into the first squad. While this is the case, the club must focus on fully fulfilling this potential and moving on with the club where they made their breakthrough.

Rodgers has spoken about wanting quality in the team, and Watson does not yet represent a first-team ready option. Nonetheless, he has been a standout project for Killie this season.
