Following a terrifying collision in Kilmarnock, a man and a woman were extracted from a car and transported to a hospital.
Following a collision involving two vehicles on Wednesday morning, emergency personnel, together with two fire engines, hurried to Old Mill Road in the town centre.
Near the Iceland store, a car was seen entirely upside down.
Ayrshire Live was able to view video footage of the heroic rescuers cutting apart the overturned motor using specialised equipment and teams going inside to remove the people.
Since then, police have confirmed that a lady and a man were taken to Crosshouse Hospital for emergency care. It is believed that the collision did not cause any significant injuries to anyone.
According to the officers, a thorough investigation into the crash’s circumstances is still underway.
“Around 10.20am on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, officers were called to reports of a two vehicle crash in Old Mill Road, Kilmarnock,” a spokeswoman for Police Scotland stated.
A man and a lady from one of the automobiles were rushed to Crosshouse Hospital by emergency personnel so they could be examined.
“Investigations are still being conducted to determine all the details surrounding the collision.”
“We were alerted at 10.25am on Wednesday, March 13 to reports of a road traffic incident involving one vehicle on Old Mill Road, Kilmarnock,” a spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service stated.
