The Cochrane Inn is returning under new owners after five long years.
An iconic Ayrshire restaurant is set to make a welcome comeback to the dining scene.
The Cochrane Inn will reopen its doors next week after a long five years.
The idyllic countryside spot in Gatehead dramatically shut and was put up for sale by long term owners Costley and Costley in 2019.
But now, new owners are preparing to make a grand return and have teased the second-coming of the much-loved venue was on the horizon.
The new restaurant executives announced a message on their website that read, “coming soon,” and included the date 21.02.2024 as an attachment.
Foodies in Ayrshire went crazy over the Facebook post, sharing their delight at the comeback of the well-liked restaurant.
“Looking forward to dining at The Cochrane Inn again,” remarked one woman.
“Great that you’re coming back, have missed you!” exclaimed another.
A local man went on, “My wife and I have been missing you.” It’s so pleasant to simply stroll around the corner without need a driver.”
The new group verified that new management is in charge of the company.
“Thank you so much for all of your comments!” they said. We are no longer working with the Costley group as we are under new management. We are excited to have you all join us on Wednesday, the 21st.
