A Kilmarnock petrol station has announced a major change to the way it operates.
The Asda filling station in the town will be pay at the pump only from today, it has been announced.
Previously, the Queen’s Drive store had staffed kiosks for customers to pay for fuel.
A statement inside the supermarket yesterday read: “Our petrol filling station will be pay at the pump only as of May 19, 2024.”
An spokesperson told the Mirror in January this year said: “As more than 90 per cent of all payments on our superstore forecourts are made via card or a contactless device, the colleagues who worked on these sites are moving into the store so they can better serve our customers.
The conversions started in December, and we anticipate finishing the switch later in 2024.
