Kilmarnock Police launch probe after Range Rover torched in Kilmarnock

Officers are keen to trace a male who was seen acting suspiciously at the time. He is described as wearing dark clothing and reflective trainers.

Cops have launched a probe after a Range Rover was torched in a Scots town.

The plush vehicle was targeted at around 1.40am on Friday on Eradour Place in Kilmarnock.

Emergency services raced to the scene, to extinguish the inferno and there were no reports of injuries.

Investigators are eager to find a man who was acting strangely at the time. It is said that he is dressed in dark clothes and has on reflective sneakers.

Detective Constable John Cuthbert stated: “The fire was started when the car was parked in a home’s driveway, causing the homeowner great concern. I would strongly advise anyone with knowledge of what transpired to contact law enforcement.

“If you were in the Eradour Place area at the time and saw anything suspicious or have CCTV or dashcam footage which may have captured something of significance then please contact us.”
