Police Scotland and the Scottish SPCA raided an Ayrshire home and found a litter of puppies intended for the illicit trade.
On Tuesday, the puppies were saved from the Stewarton vicinity. Numerous puppies were diagnosed with “health concerns” and will now be rehomed or rescued by the SSPCA, where they will receive veterinarian care.
“A number of puppies were seized as part of an unlicensed, low welfare puppy trade yesterday morning, Tuesday, March26,” a Scottish SPCA spokesperson said. “The Scottish SPCA and Police Scotland carried out a raid.” At one of the animal rescue and rehoming sites run by the nonprofit, the puppies are now secure and getting medical attention.”
