Six people have been arrested following an incident that saw police swarm a residential kilmarnock street.
Police received reports of people arriving in a vehicle “whilst possibly in possession of weapons,” on friday.
Areas of kilmarnock , were cordoned off for much of the day.
A spokesperson from Police said: “Police have made six arrests in connection with an incident reported in kilmarnock on friday (19th March).
“Around 7.55pm on friday, officers received a report of occupants of a vehicle arriving at a property whilst possibly in possession of weapons.
“No one was harmed in the incident.
“Six men; two aged 23, three aged 32 and one aged 41, have been arrested and bailed whilst enquiries continue.
“Officers are continuing to carry out high visibility patrols and urge anyone who may have concerns or may have information to approach these officers or call Police .
