Alan ‘Cat’ Jamieson was stabbed in the neck, writes Grant McCabe
A man was fatally stabbed by a thug while on the phone with his girlfriend.
On September 18, 2022, Gary Muir, 39, killed Alan ‘Cat’ Jamieson, 38, of Kilmarnock.
After hearing some “rustling,” girlfriend Angela Sawyers was informed by Mr. Jamieson, “I’ve just been stabbed – he stabbed me in the jugular.”
Muir admitted to killing Mr. Jamieson at today’s Glasgow High Court hearing.
The court was informed that Muir and Miss Sawyers had a long-term relationship that terminated in January 2021.
Before his passing, Mr. Jamieson and Miss Sawyers had a connection for a year.
Miss Sawyers told the hearing that she thought Mr. Jamieson had grown wary of her rekindling her romance with Muir.
“At about 8pm, Muir stabbed Mr. Jamieson on the neck with a knife while the deceased was on the phone,” stated prosecutor Gregg Farrell.
