Man, 47, dies suddenly in Kilmarnock as death treated as ‘unexplained’

Emergency services attended the scene at Beansburn near the town centre.

Police have announced today that a man passed away unexpectedly over the weekend in a Kilmarnock flat.

Officers are calling the 47-year-old’s death “unexplained,” but they also describe it as “non-suspicious.”

From early in the afternoon on Saturday, police were present at Beansburn.

“We were made aware of the sudden death of a 47-year-old man within a property at Beansburn in Kilmarnock shortly after 11.15am on Saturday, August 28,” a Police Scotland spokesman said.

“The death is being investigated, although it is not thought to be suspicious. In due order, a report will be turned in to the procurator fiscal.
