Man charge and jailed for violent assault in Kilmarnock

The other man was severely injured and permanently disfigured, according to the Crown, after Kenneth Parris, 37, of Croe Place, entered his home without permission, grabbed him by the body, punched and kicked him repeatedly on the head, knocked him to the ground, stamped on his head, and caused him to lose consciousness.

On March 16, 2023, at New Street in Riccarton, an incident is said to have occurred.

It was reported at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court that Parris, who did not appear in court, was not served with the official indictment outlining the charges against him until a few days prior to the hearing.

Parris was entering a not guilty plea, his attorney informed the court.

Parris was given bail while he was away, and the case was postponed until the following month.
