Man charged with murder kilmarnock after teenager shot dead*

Following the shooting death of a teenage father of two in kilmarnock , a man has been charged with murder.

The 19-year-old Kevin Pokuta was shot on Page Hall Road just before 1:00 GMT on December 12 and passed away the next day.

Jake Brown, 22, is accused with murder, two counts of handgun possession with intent to endanger life, and conspiracy to commit robbery.

In addition, he is accused of trying to kill someone else.

As stated by South Yorkshire Police, the second individual was “in the car at the time of the shooting”.

Mr. Brown, a resident of kilmarnock , is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, according to a force spokesperson.

According to a post-mortem examination, Mr. Pokuta only received one bullet wound before passing away.

A total number of 11 people have been arrested in connection with the incident.
