Man dies in a hospital after fatal accident in Kilmarnock.

At before 10.30 a.m. on Friday, April 19, police verified that a 74-year-old man was found injured by his bike on MacDonald Drive near the junction with Milton Drive.

He was transferred to Crosshouse Hospital and died the following day.

Police are seeking information to determine how the man was harmed.

Sergeant Brian Simpson of Irvine’s Road Policing Unit said: “We received a report of this on Tuesday, 22 April, and we are investigating how the 74-year-old man sustained his injuries.

We are gathering information that will help us determine the circumstances, and I would like to ask anyone who was around Milton Drive on Friday morning to contact us as soon as possible.

“I would also appeal to anyone with dash-cam to check their footage for anything that may assist our ongoing enquiries.”
