Police reported that a man was discovered dead in Kilmarnock this morning.
At before 6 a.m. this morning, officers responded to a complaint of a person in distress on Hurlford Road in the town.
Emergency services were dispatched to the event, and a 62-year-old male was pronounced deceased on the site.
Officials say the death is currently being investigated as unexplained, although it is not thought to be suspicious.
A representative for Police Scotland stated, “We were called around 6 a.m. on Friday, August 25, to a report of a person in need in the Hurlford Road area of Kilmarnock.”
“Emergency services responded, and a 62-year-old male was pronounced deceased on the spot.
“The death is now being examined as unexplained but is not thought to be suspicious. Enquiries are ongoing to determine the entire circumstances.”
The road and adjacent streets are still teeming with cops over four hours after the alarm was raised with mercy teams.
