A man has been found dead in Kilmarnock this morning, police have confirmed.
Officers raced to the Hurlford Road area of the town at around 6am this morning to a report of a concern for a person.
Emergency services were among those to be scrambled to the incident and a 62-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials say that the death is currently being treated as unexplained but is not believed to be suspicious.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 6am on Saturday September 2024, to a report of a concern for person in the Hurlford Road area of Kilmarnock.
“Emergency services attended and a 62-year-old-man was pronounced dead at the scene.
