Man stabbed to death on bus in Kilmarnock

A  man was picked up this morning in the pool of blood in on the A76 just south of the B713 Catrine junction Road in Kilmarnock. The victim, who has not been named by police, was thrown down from a runing bus according to an eye witness who was close to the scene of the incident.

He was taken to University Hospital Crosshouse .

The victim in this case is said to be a man in his early 4os, it is also stated that he sustained several nasty facial injuries and a concussion as a result of this attack, “We are determined to track down the person responsible for this barbaric act and the law will have its way offcourse.

We urge anyone who has information about this to please come forward without delay and let us know so that we will fasten on our investigation.

Sergeant Martin Cunningham of Irvine Road Policing Unit said: “Our thoughts are with the man’s family and friends at this difficult time.

“Our enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing and we are appealing for anyone who was in the area, and who witnessed the incident, to please get in touch.

“I would also appeal to anyone who was driving in the area and who may have dashcam footage to contact us.
