Man two car smash man outside Kilmarnock supermarket’

Emergency crews raced to Kilmarnock Lidl this afternoon following a crash.

A man was taken to hospital after a crash outside an Ayrshire supermarket today.

Emergency services, including police and ambulance crews rushed the scene next to Kilmarnock

Lidl, at the junction where High Glencairn Street and Low Glencairn Street meet.

Paramedics took a man to hospital following the smash around 1pm.

An eyewitness has told how debris was spread across the road with two cars visibly damaged.

A mangled pedestrian railing also appeared to have been involved in the collision and has since been removed with a temporary guard put in place.

Police say that enquiries into the collision are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1pm on Friday, February 16, 2024, we were called to a report of a crash on Low Glencairn Street, Kilmarnock.

“Emergency services attended and one man was taken to hospital by ambulance
