New Indian restaurant and takeaway in Kilmarnock

The new venue cis planned for King Street in the town.

It has been discovered that there is a grand proposal to establish an Indian restaurant in the centre of Kilmarnock.

An eatery and takeaway have submitted their blueprints to be opened on King Street.
Currently home to the vape business Bar Busters, the space was formerly the headquarters of the Celebrate Kilmarnock organisation, which broke up the previous year.

Now, a new project from Glasgow Developments Ltd.’s applicant Sukdev Mall may reside at 85-89 King Street.
If approved by East Ayrshire Council planners, King Street would have just one restaurant operating out of it, with shops and cafes making up the majority of the high street.

Plans call for 36 covers, as well as the construction of a reception area, two storage rooms, a cold store, a prep area for the kitchen, and restrooms at the back of the site.

The restaurant’s menu items are hinted at in the kitchen blueprints, which call for a pizza oven, a seekh kebab grill with fryers, and a tandoori oven.

At a later time, East Ayrshire Council planners will make a decision regarding the plans to convert the facility from ’empty offices’ to a class 3 restaurant and takeout.

If authorised, Browne Munde on Princes Street and Exotic Kitchen and Jewel in the Crown on Portland Street will be excellent companions for the new endeavour.
