Yesterday afternoon, there was a serious collision in Kilmarnock involving a Mini Cooper and a police car.
Around 2:30 pm, the two cars crashed at the busy intersection of Portland Road and North Hamilton Street.
Following the collision, no injuries were reported, according to police confirmation.
The road was reopened later in the afternoon, and the force also verified that there will be no additional police action on the case.
“A police vehicle and a Mini Cooper were involved in a collision on Portland Road at its junction with North Hamilton Street, Kilmarnock, at approximately 2.30pm on Saturday, March 2,” a spokeswoman for Police Scotland stated.
“No injuries have been reported as of yet. There won’t be any more police intervention.
“The road is accessible.”
