Police descended on Kilmarnock town centre last night after a man bus station.

A 25-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

Following a man’s assault at the bus stop yesterday night, police swarmed Kilmarnock town centre.

Just after 7:30 p.m., police were dispatched to the transport hub in response to a man attack incident.


A 25-year-old male has been detained and charged in connection with the event, according to confirmation from officials today.

Additionally, according to police, the victim did not require hospital care.

“At approximately 7:35 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2024, police were called to a report of a man having been assaulted at the bus station in Green Street, Kilmarnock,” a spokeswoman for officers Scotland stated.

A 25-year-old male was detained and charged in relation to the incident once officers arrived. The Procurator Fiscal will get a report on him.

“The victim did not require hospital treatment.”
