A second man has been arrested and charged in connection with a Saltcoats murder probe.
Alan Lawson, 36, died in hospital on Tuesday, February 6 following an assault at a property on Alexander Avenue, Largs, over the weekend of Saturday, February 3.
A 29-year-old man was previously arrested and charged in connection with his death and appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Tuesday, February 20. But today cops have told how a 27-year-old man is due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court today in connection with the death.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “A second man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of Alan Lawson, 36, from Saltcoats. Mr Lawson died in hospital on Tuesday, 6 February, following an assault at a property on Alexander Avenue, Largs, over the weekend of Saturday, 3 February.
“The 27-year-old man is due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 28 February.
