Road locked down by police after man dies on busy Kilmarnock road

On Monday at around 5.30 am, emergency personnel were sent to the Bellfield Interchange, which is close to Kilmarnock; however, the guy was declared dead on the spot.

Police closed down a popular Scots route following the untimely death of a 39-year-old man.

After the alarm was set off, police were dispatched to the Bellfield Interchange in Kilmarnock early on Monday morning.
They discovered the man’s body, who had regrettably already gone away, although they claim there don’t seem to be any troubling conditions.
Initially, a limited diversion was in place while both carriageways on the A77 were closed, and Traffic Scotland issued a warning to drivers to stay away from the area.

Since then, the northbound lanes have reopened, although law enforcement is still present.

“#A77 remains closed S/B at the Bellfield Interchange due to a police incident,” tweeted Traffic Scotland. N/B is now open again. There is a local diversion in place.
“Police were called around 5.30am on Monday, following the sudden death of a 39-year-old man at the Bellfield Interchange, Kilmarnock,” a spokesman for Police Scotland stated.

“There are no suspicious activities, and the Procurator Fiscal will get a report.
