Seven Arrested In Kilmarnock Town Centre

Police say restrictions are currently in place on King Street following a raid earlier this morning.

Following a raid on a cannabis farm in the middle of Kilmarnock town centre today, seven persons have been taken into custody.

As they conducted the bust this morning, police blocked off King Street. Around 10.30 a.m. this morning, police cars and vans were seen all over the main commercial district.

Ayrshire Police have verified in an update that whilst there are limitations in place at King Street and Sandbed Lane, local access is still possible.

“Officers are in attendance at King Street, Kilmarnock, following the discovery of a cannabis cultivation site,” a Police Scotland spokesperson stated.

“Local access is possible despite the limitations on Sandbed Lane and King Street. There have been seven arrests, and investigations are still ongoing.”
