Following the police seizure of a £150,000 cannabis farm on Kilmarnock’s high street, seven men have been prosecuted.
When officers received reports of “suspicious activity” at around 4 a.m. on Thursday, they investigated and found the cultivation inside a vacant building on King Street.
According to police, investigations into the recovery are “ongoing,” and the plants discovered within the premises are thought to be worth £150,000 on the open market.
On Friday, the seven men are scheduled to appear in Kilmarnock Sheriff Court.

Seven males have been arrested and charged in connection with the recovery of a substantial cannabis plantation within a disused building in King Street, Kilmarnock’, a Police Scotland spokesperson said.
Around 4 a.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2024, officers were summoned to a report of suspicious activity in the area, and that’s when they made the discovery.
Although investigations are still being conducted to determine the exact amount recovered, the plants discovered inside the structure are thought to be worth up to £150,000 on the open market.
“On Friday, March 8, 2024, the seven men are scheduled to appear before Kilmarnock Sheriff Court, and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
