Thirteen lambs and two sheep killed in Kilmarnock livestock attack

Ayrshire police are appealing for information after 13 lambs and two ewes were killed following a livestock attack.

The incident occurred last week between the villages for Kirkmichael and Dalrymple.

Locality Policing Team officers from Maybole Police Office are requesting information following the sickening attack – which also left numerous others injured. The incident occurred on agricultural land between the villages of Kirkmichael and Dalrymple, between 3pm and 8pm on Thursday, June 13.

Rural Officer PC Andrew Thorne stated: “This has been a significant livestock attack, with 2 ewes and 13 lambs being killed and numerous others being injured. This incident has unfortunately impacted on two separate local farm businesses”.

Police Scotland would ask for any information regarding this incident or knowledge of dogs that may have been unsupervised, gone missing or returned home wet and bloodied in the local area at the material time.
