The woman’s unexpected death in a Kilmarnock park this morning is being looked into by police.
At approximately 7:20 a.m. today, police hurried to Dean Park, where a police perimeter had been established at the scenic location.
Police are still at the scene, where many access and exits near the playpark adjacent Dean Thistle’s pitch have been blocked off, four hours after the horrific discovery.
There are also police officers at Townholm, which is thought to have something to do with the unexpected fatality.
Authorities have stated that, despite the lack of suspicious circumstances, they are nevertheless considering the death as unexplained.
“Police were called to the Dean Park area of Kilmarnock around 7.20am on Monday, July 31st, following the sudden death of a woman,” a spokesperson for Police Scotland stated.
“There are still officers in the area, and while additional investigations are needed, the death is being investigated as unexplained; no suspicious circumstances are thought to exist.”
