Woman, 24, killed in horror crash in Kilmarnock pictured

The 24-year-old was declared deceased at the scene of the Ayr Road collision.

There was an Audi Q2 and a Vauxhall Corsa involved.
Around 9.35 am, emergency personnel responded quickly to the busy highway after hearing the alert.

The 64-year-old female passenger and the 67-year-old female driver of the second vehicle were brought to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow to receive medical attention.
For six and a half hours, the road was stopped while police conducted their investigation.
Authorities honoured Kayla’s friends and family.

They said that their investigations are still underway and asked anyone who may have been driving in the vicinity at the time for information or dashcam footage of the B7038.

“At this trying time, our thoughts are with Kayla’s family and friends, and we continue to support them as our inquiries progress,” said Road Policing Sergeant Martin Cunningham.

“Thank you to everyone who has already provided information to the police. I would still like to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident or who saw the blue Audi Q2 and red Vauxhall Corsa before to the collision.

“If you have dashcam footage of the B7038 from around that time and haven’t reviewed it yet, please do so and let us know about anything significant.”
