Woman, 64, taken to hospital after being knocked down on busy Kilmarnock street

The 64-year-old lady was struck by a car on a busy Kilmarnock roadway and rushed to the hospital.

Around 10.10 a.m. this morning, emergency personnel, including police and paramedics, hurried to the scene on John Finnie Street when the woman was hit by a car.
Following the encounter, a 48-year-old male was taken into custody and charged with driving violations. We are going to submit a report to the Procurator Fiscal. After being checked over, the woman was brought to Crosshouse Hospital.

“On Wednesday, March 6, at approximately 10.10 a.m., we were called to a report of a woman struck by a car on John Finnie Street, Kilmarnock,” a Police Scotland spokesman stated.

“To be examined, the 64-year-old woman has been brought to Crosshouse Hospital. A 48-year-old male has been taken into custody and is facing charges related to driving violations. We’ll submit a report to the Procurator Fiscal.
