Ross extends King’s Lynn Town loan spell issue*

Following an initial month’s loan, defender Ross Barrows has had his loan spell with fellow Vanarama National League North side King’s Lynn Town extended until the conclusion of their season.

The nature of the loan now holds a 24-hour recall, should Scunthorpe wish to activate it.

The 25-year-old was one of the Iron’s summer signings last summer, and he’s made a total of 11 appearances for the club, five of which starts.

Born in Sheffield, Barrows was on the Iron’s books previously, spending six years in the academy between the ages of nine and 15. During his time away from the club, one of his clubs was the Linnets, where he joined towards the end of the 2018-19 season. He would become part of the team that would be promoted to the Vanarama National League North.

Playing for the side in the following season, he would make 58 appearances, scoring four goals, eventually moving on to Altrincham for the 2022-23 season.

So far in his first month with the Linnets, he made five appearances, four of which have been starts. The loan extension makes him eligible to go head-to-head with Chorley this evening.

We would like to wish Ross all the best with the remainder of his loan spell at the Walks.
