Off a well-known beach, a lifeboat was sent out to save two paddleboarders who were having trouble.
Just before 1:00 PM on Monday, Hunstanton RNLI volunteers received a page regarding two men who were reportedly having trouble near the town’s lifeboat station.
Spirit of West Norfolk, a B class lifeboat, was launched in a matter of minutes and arrived at the scene shortly after, a few hundred meters off the busy beach.
After struggling against the wind and high tide, the crew rescued both men and returned them to the lifeboat station. Neither suffered any wounds.
After that, the lifeboat was cleaned, inspected, and refuelled so it could go on to its next mission.
