Two different incidents on the A47 in Norfolk and Cambridgeshire on Tuesday resulted in the deaths of four persons.
On the A47 near Wisbech, a man lost his life when his vehicle struck a tree.
And on Sunday, a two-car collision on the A47 between Middleton and Kings Lynn claimed the lives of three people.
At 12.50 am on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, emergency personnel were summoned to the A47 roundabout in Wisbech, where the A47 and Elm High Road intersect. The call came in response to a report of a collision between a blue Audi S4 and a tree.
When the car left the carriageway and struck a tree, it was heading along Elm High Road in the direction of the roundabout and the intersection with the A47.
The driver of the car, a 35-year-old man, died at the scene.
